Ambulance service of Atyrau region falsified statistical data

The ambulance service of the Atyrau region has been fined 1.9 million tenge for violations of information security requirements.

According to the Telegram channel "Halyqstan", citing the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry, authorised bodies conducted an inspection at the "103" service station and uncovered instances of data falsification.

It is reported that, to improve work performance indicators, the enterprise's employees carried out illegal manipulations with call cards via the "Komek" system, which is responsible for redirecting patient calls to dispatchers. In particular, more than 8,000 cases of changes to call dates and times were identified.

"Against the backdrop of these events, according to the results of 2024, the Atyrau region ended up in an unfavourable 'red zone' for several key indicators, including the number of calls responded to late for urgency categories 1-3, the level of pre-hospital mortality, resuscitation success rate, and the average daily workload on teams. It is precisely these criteria that were altered in the call cards in both 2024 and 2025."

In February of this year, at the initiative of the regional prosecutor's office, a special commission was established, which identified defects in the "Komek" system amounting to 1,918,276 tenge

At the same time, the Committee for Information Security imposed an additional fine on the service of 100 MCI (393,200 tenge) for the adjustment of data in patient call cards.

Recall that in January, a 13-year-old schoolboy, Damir Bolumbayev, died in Karaganda after an incorrect diagnosis. The relatives of the deceased accuse the medical workers of negligence.
