The prosecutor's office of the North Kazakhstan region identified violations in the training of drivers at five driving schools in the region.
According to the press service of the department, the educational organisations lacked the necessary equipment, people with medical contraindications were allowed to train, labour legislation was violated, and there were no orders for final certification or pre-trip medical examinations for instructors.
At one regional driving school, 155 cases were recorded of individuals being allowed to train without undergoing a compulsory medical examination, as well as the training of citizens with contraindications to driving vehicles.
At a driving school in Petropavlovsk, one in five of the 579 graduates in 2024–2025 faced administrative penalties for traffic violations.
At another driving school in the regional centre, one in ten of the 714 graduates repeatedly violated traffic rules: driving a faulty vehicle, using a phone while driving, and speeding. According to the supervisory authority, one of the graduates in 2024 was held accountable 13 times for similar violations and caused a traffic accident.
Based on the prosecutor's oversight directives, those responsible were brought to administrative liability, and the identified violations were rectified.
Recall that in August, the prosecutor's office of the Mangystau region inspected the activities of driving schools and identified more than 1,000 instances of the fraudulent issuance of course completion certificates, as well as more than 100 violations of driver training regulations.
