A verdict has been handed down in Aktobe against three civil servants accused of corruption. In the dock were the deputy head of the veterinary department Kazmukhanbetov, the head of the city sanitary and epidemiological control department Yesimbayev, and his subordinate, department employee Zhangabayev.
According to the Telegram channel «HALYQSTAN», Kazmukhanbetov approached the sanitary and epidemiological control department with a request to increase the number of permitted places in a private kindergarten owned by his close relative. To do this, a positive sanitary certificate was required.
As established in court, the head of the department, Yesimbayev, instructed his subordinate Zhangabayev to prepare the relevant certificate increasing the kindergarten's capacity from 48 to 75 places. Despite Zhangabayev noting during several site visits that an increase in capacity was impossible, the document was prepared.
Later, Kazmukhanbetov, through an intermediary, handed over 300,000 tenge to Yesimbayev as a bribe. From this amount, Yesimbayev kept 195,000 tenge for himself, gave 90,000 to Zhangabayev, and 15,000 to the intermediary.
In court, Kazmukhanbetov fully admitted his guilt. Yesimbayev admitted it partially, while Zhangabayev denied any involvement in the crime. Ultimately, the court found all defendants guilty and sentenced Kazmukhanbetov to 3 years in prison, and Yesimbayev and Zhangabayev to 7 years in prison each.
