The Ministry of Emergency Situations of Kazakhstan is purchasing a fire station in Astana for 1.1 billion tenge

The Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Kazakhstan has announced a repeat tender for the procurement of a prefabricated modular fire station building in Astana worth nearly 1.1 billion tenge. The tender documentation specifies the delivery address in the area of the "House of Ministries" complex.

PROCUREMENT ITEM AND PURPOSE OF THE FACILITY

According to the tender documentation, a prefabricated modular fire station building is being procured. The facility must include a specialised bay for fire-fighting equipment and accommodation for personnel.

The documentation states that the building is intended to support the activities of the fire unit.

DELIVERY ADDRESS

The place of delivery is given as an address in the administrative centre of the capital: Astana, Yesil District, 8 Mangilik El Avenue, Entrance 2 (territory of the "House of Ministries" complex)

Specifying a precise address may affect the pool of potential participants depending on the nature of the transaction. The documentation does not clarify whether this is the actual location of the facility or the place of handover to the customer.

DEADLINES FOR COMPLETION

The handover of the facility must take place within 60 calendar days from the date the contract comes into force. Within this period, the supplier must ensure:

  • The handover of the premises in proper condition;
  • ​The provision of a full set of as-built documentation (master plan, technical passports, utility network diagrams);
  • The presence of installed furniture.

CONDITIONS FOR PARTICIPATION

According to the tender documentation, requirements for specific experience, as well as material and human resources, are not established. Suppliers who meet basic legal requirements — no tax arrears and no bankruptcy proceedings — are eligible to participate.

The procurement is being conducted as a repeat tender. The deadline for submitting applications is 20 February.
