In the village of Bugrovoye in the North Kazakhstan region, a mass die-off of domestic poultry is being recorded. According to local residents, at least 15 dead geese are collected every day throughout the week.

According to CentralMedia24.kz, footage is being shared on social media, in which a farmstead owner shows dozens of dead geese and chickens. The woman claims that vets came and took samples, but have not yet disclosed the results.

Other villagers confirm the problem. One of them said that out of 38 geese he had only four left, out of 25 broilers only one survived, and out of 38 chickens just five. According to village residents, the disease manifests itself in the same way: the birds' eyes become cloudy, they stop drinking and eating, and their necks twist strangely.

In the comments, users speculate that it could be Newcastle disease or bird flu, but there is no official confirmation of this theory yet. The local administration reported that the dead carcasses have been sent for examination, and the results will be published later.

Incidentally, in 2020–2021, a mass die-off of poultry was already recorded in the region. The cause then was bird flu, which killed over a thousand chickens and ducks.
