A man was sentenced to three years of restricted freedom for stealing training weapons from a school in Makinsk.

In the Akmola Region, a sentence was passed on a man who, during renovation work at a school in the town of Makinsk, took advantage of the lack of supervision and stole a training Kalashnikov rifle and several air rifles.

According to Almaty.tv, the offender removed the stolen weapons through a window of the building. The total amount of damage exceeded 300,000 tenge.

After the theft was discovered, the school administration contacted the police. During investigative and search operations, law enforcement officers identified the suspect. The man fully admitted his guilt and compensated for the damage caused.

The court of the Akmola Region sentenced the man to three years of restricted freedom with probation supervision and compulsory community work.
