In the Zhambyl region, school librarians have reported that they have not received their bonus payments for two months.
According to Informburo.kz, they claim that their salaries have decreased by 35% since September.
"This has hit our pockets. We endured it for a month, we endured it for two months, but there is a limit to everything. I am very upset. The prices of everything are rising, yet our salaries have gone down," complained Aizhan Karimova.
Meanwhile, the librarians stated that in schools they are classified as technical staff, despite their qualifications.
In response, the head of the regional education department, Rauan Sadyrkulov, said that the audit commission deemed the payment of bonuses to school librarians unjustified.
"Going out onto the street is not a way for educated people to solve a problem. The inspection results revealed that the bonus was paid without justification. We think it was legal. But the supervisory bodies think differently," the statement reads.
At the same time, representatives of the education department assured that the issue would be resolved shortly, and the payments for the two months would be returned in full.
It should be recalled that in April, in the Akmola region, prosecutors uncovered a case of non-payment of wages to employees of State Enterprise "Burabay Su Arnasy". For January, the company owed 26.7 million tenge to 205 employees.
In August, it was reported that kindergarten staff in the Khromtau and Uil districts of the Aktobe region had not received the salary supplements they were due from 2022 to 2024.
At the same time, it emerged that in the Zerendy district of the Akmola region, a state enterprise failed to pay wages to 943 employees. The debt amounted to 397 million tenge.
