In the coastal zone of Lake Shchuchye in the Burabay district of the Akmola region, a land plot of 3 hectares has been returned to state ownership. The cadastral value of the plot is 53.4 million tenge.
According to the regional prosecutor's office press service, the plot had been in use since 2012 by a company owned by businessman Timur Kulibayev - LLP «Kypros».
It is reported that for more than 10 years the company took no action to develop the territory: construction never began, and the plot was not used.
In 2023, a mandatory instruction was issued to the land user to develop the plot, but no measures were taken to comply with it.
The Department for Land Resources Management filed a lawsuit with the specialised inter-district economic court. The court upheld the claim, deemed the land user to be acting in bad faith, and ordered the plot to be returned to state ownership.
It is worth recalling that in 2022, the FBRK editorial team published a series of articles about who owns the shore of Lake Shchuchye. We wrote about who owns the lands in the territory of the SEZ «Burabay», in the area of the dendrological park, on the side of Shchuchinsk, on the side of Lake Maloye Chebachye, as well as some plots near the Republican Educational and Health Centre «Baldauren», in the area of «Sanatorium Shchuchinsky» and in the area of the «Almaz» sanatorium. In the final part, we reported who owns the coastal area of the lake south of the «Almaz» sanatorium.
