The company Timur Kulibayev LLP "Kipros" has been ordered to demolish the "Yuzhnaya" tourist centre. This concerns a two-storey building in the Ile-Alatau National Park.

According to bes.media, in 2018, "Kipros" received a long-term lease for a plot of land measuring 1.1 hectares for the construction of a tourist complex. However, an inspection by the national park revealed that a countryside guest house was actually located there.

"National park staff conducted an inspection regarding the fact of tourists visiting the defendant's territory and established that the tourist complex is not operational. During the inspection, no representatives of the defendant were present on the territory, and security did not allow entry onto the site. A timing study was carried out to establish tourist visits, but no tourist visits to the base were recorded over the course of a week," the court documents state.

As a result, the Almaty City Court and the court of first instance issued a verdict ordering the demolition of the structure. The decision has entered into force.

Kulibayev's company is now obliged to return the plot of land to the Ile-Alatau National Park and demolish the building constructed on it at its own expense.

Earlier, it was reported that the Ile-Alatau National Park is demanding the demolition of another guest house belonging to Timur Kulibayev's company in the Kokbastau Forestry of the Talgar District. Park representatives believe the property is being used as a private residence.

It also became known that Timur Kulibayev's wife – Dinara Kulibayeva – owns a residence in the French Alps worth nearly 15 billion tenge.
