Four apartments on the French Riviera, previously owned by Kairat Satybaldy and his wives, have been put up for sale through foreign real estate agencies. The total value of the properties is estimated at €8.7 million. At the same time, auctions for the confiscated assets of the former official — business centres, hotels and markets — are taking place in Kazakhstan.

APARTMENTS ON THE RIVIERA

According to the Telegram channel "Exit to the Sea", advertisements for the sale of four apartments in the Parc du Cap residential complex on the Cap d'Antibes have been posted on foreign real estate websites such as Prian. In terms of size and location, they correspond to properties previously owned by Kairat Satybaldy and his wives — Saida Kanatbekkyzy, Asel Bakhtiyarkyzy and Gulmira Kauaskyzy.

The apartments are registered under four companies: KS Propriete, SK Propriete, AB Propriete and GK Propriete, operating through the jurisdiction of Monaco. Data on the current owners is unavailable without access to local notarial databases; however, following the confiscation of assets, the probable controlling entity is the Company for the Management of Returned Assets (CMRA).

The total value of the apartments is €8.7 million. Each apartment has three bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, a living room, a kitchen and a balcony, and is fully furnished. The complex offers security, underground parking, a gym, a spa centre, saunas, swimming pools and sea views.

Among the residents of the complex are families from Moldova, Belarus and Russia. The most famous of them is Ukrainian citizen Alexander Dmitriev, father of the head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund Kirill Dmitriev. According to data from the Anti-Corruption Foundation, Dmitriev senior also owns property in Courchevel through his French company Rocket Holdings.

CONFISCATED ASSETS IN KAZAKHSTAN

At the same time, auctions for Satybaldy's confiscated assets are being held in Kazakhstan. At the beginning of April, the sale of Almaty's Kaisar Plaza shopping and business centre is planned, with a starting price of 62 billion tenge. The DoubleTree by Hilton hotel and the "Baisat" market may also be sold, for which the CMRA hopes to receive 4 billion tenge.

Some of the property has been transferred to state institutions. Two business centres have been taken over by the Institute of Geography and the municipal construction department. Another building now houses the Kazakh National Women's Pedagogical University, and an unfinished hotel has been handed over to the department of judicial administration.

SATYBALDY'S LEGAL HISTORY

Kairat Satybaldy was found guilty of embezzlement by a court and was sentenced in September 2022 to six years' imprisonment. In 2024, the prison term was replaced with a restriction of liberty.

According to the source, by the time the assets were transferred to state control, their total value amounted to 732.8 billion tenge ($1.5 billion).
