Deputy Prime Minister Kanat Bozumbayev outlined key operational measures at a government meeting following a fire in the village of Algabas in the Zhetysai district of the Turkestan region.
According to him, the government has already formed a commission, determined a mechanism for assisting the families of the deceased and injured, and begun work to establish the causes of the incident.
As reported by the IA «Kazinform», Bozumbayev noted at the meeting that investigative bodies are continuing their inquiry. According to preliminary data, no criminal element has been identified.
A pre-trial investigation is being conducted under Article 292, Part 3 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan («Violation of fire safety requirements»). The expert examination is still ongoing.
Bozumbayev emphasised that the government has already adopted a number of decisions.
«On your instructions, I held a meeting of the government commission yesterday, giving instructions on organising funerals and providing assistance to the families of the deceased and injured, establishing the causes of the fire, and carrying out preventive measures to prevent similar incidents,» Kanat Bozumbayev stressed.
It will be recalled that a major fire earlier occurred in the Turkestan region in a private two-storey house in the village of Algabas in the Zhetysai district. 12 people died, including nine children. Two injured people are on artificial lung ventilation (ALV).
