The editorial board of FBRK continues its report on the total amounts of remuneration of members of executive bodies of companies that have a significant impact on the economy of Kazakhstan.
Today we will focus on the largest energy holding company - Samruk-Energy JSC, "aimed at creating a highly efficient energy supply system that ensures the sustainable development of all sectors of Kazakhstan".
Recall that during the official visit of Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to Rome this year, an agreement on the reconstruction of the Almaty CHPP-3 was signed by Samruk-Energy JSC and the Italian company Ansaldo Energia SpA.
In December of last year, it became known that Samruk-Energy JSC, together with the Russian company INTER RAO - Export LLC, would be implementing a project to build coal-fired CHPs in Kokshetau, Semey and Ust-Kamenogorsk.
In the first quarter of 2024, the national company's revenue exceeded 144 billion tenge, which is 26% more compared to 114 billion tenge in the first quarter of 2023.
In 2020, the company's executive body consisted of 5 people, including the Chairman of the Management Board Bakytzhan Zhulamanov. In 2009-2011, Mr. Zhulamanov held the position of Akim of Pavlodar.
Bakytzhan Zhulamanov joined Samruk-Energy JSC in 2018 and soon became the Chairman of the Management Board.
In 2021, the chairmanship passed to Sungat Yessimkhanov, who, before being appointed head of the management board at Samruk-Energy JSC, worked as Vice Minister of Energy, and subsequently held the position of First Deputy Akim of Pavlodar Region.
By the end of 2021, 4 members of the management board had received a total of over 318 million tenge.
In 2022, the executive body of the national company, consisting of 5 people, was headed by Serik Tyutebaev, who had previously held the position of Managing Director for the 'Generation' division at Samruk-Energy, and later, Managing Director for Production and Asset Management.
The total amount of board remuneration at that time was more than 295 million tenge.
In 2023, 5 members of the management board received a total of about 359 million tenge. The Chairman since June 2023 has been Kairat Maksutov.
Mr. Maksutov began his service at Samruk-Energy JSC back in 2009, in the position of Deputy Chairman of the Management Board for Finance and Economics.
Recall that earlier the FBRK editorial board wrote about the total remuneration of the management boards of the national companies NC KazMunayGas JSC NAC Kazatomprom JSC NC QazaqGaz JSC Kazakhtelecom JSC and KEGOC JSC, which are part of the Kazakh investment holding company Samruk-Kazyna NWF JSC.
