In the management board of «Kazakhtelecom», two new top managers have been appointed — Ablaykhan Ospanov and Nurlan Meirmanov, expanding its composition to eight people. The decision was made by the company's board of directors on 27 January under the leadership of the chairman of the management board Bagdat Musin.
According to information from the Kazakhstan Stock Exchange, Ablaykhan Ospanov has taken the position of Chief Director and General Director of the Digital Business Division. Prior to this appointment, he twice served as Vice Minister of Digitalisation — from 2019 to 2021 and from July 2024. In between these appointments, Ospanov held the position of Managing Director of Freedom Bank Kazakhstan.
Ablaykhan Ospanov holds a specialist degree in computer science obtained at L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University and a law degree from Sh. Ualikhanov Kokshetau State University. His career path includes leadership positions in the public and private sectors, where he focused on issues of digitalisation and optimisation of business processes.
Nurlan Meirmanov, who has been appointed to the position of Chief Director of Strategy and External Asset Management, is an experienced employee of the company — his career at Kazakhtelecom began in 2002. During this time, he has progressed from head of department to chief director of innovation.
For context, last year the editorial team of FBRK wrote about the amounts of bonuses for top managers of national companies within the investment holding JSC «NMC «Samruk-Kazyna», including the total amounts of remuneration for members of the executive bodies of «Kazakhtelecom».
