The Prosecutor's Office of Pavlodar Region has identified subsoil extraction without permits in the region.
According to the press service of the department, since the beginning of the year in the Bayanaul district, LLP «IBM Gold» has been mining gold and silver without an environmental permit. Another 11 enterprises were also engaged in illegal subsoil use.
In eight cases, mineral extraction in quarries was carried out outside the established areas. Prosecutors also uncovered instances of illegally extending the validity periods of extraction contracts.
The heads of environmental and tax control bodies, as well as local executive and law enforcement agencies, discussed the violations and shortcomings at a board meeting of the regional prosecutor's office.
«Following the board meeting, an algorithm for interaction between state and law enforcement agencies has been developed, aimed at improving the quality of detecting and suppressing violations,» the statement reads.
They promised to take appropriate measures, including procedural ones, in response to all violations.
Recall that earlier, the Department of the Agency for Financial Monitoring for the East Kazakhstan Region identified that LLP «EastGoldStone», without a licence, had been mining gold for two years, diverting the bed of the Shybyndy River.
The environmental damage from the enterprise's activities exceeded 300 million tenge. During a search, 6.7 kg of gold worth 382 million tenge was seized from the suspects.
