Налог на роскошные дома и автомобили поднимут с 2025 года

Deputy Minister of National Economy Azamat Amrin outlined which homes and cars will be considered luxury items under the new Tax Code. 

According to Informburo.kz, the deputy minister stated during a briefing at the SCC that the following are proposed: 

• increased property tax rates for real estate with a total value exceeding 450 million tenge; 
• additional excise duty on passenger cars with a customs value exceeding 75 million tenge; 
• additional excise duty on high-cost alcoholic and tobacco products, as well as high-cost seagoing vessels and aircraft. 

It is reported that the new Tax Code will come into effect in 2025, with plans to adopt it in October. 

Earlier, at an expanded government meeting, President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev stated that a new Tax Code is currently being developed in the country, which will ensure a balance between creating favourable conditions for investors and budget revenues.
