An entrepreneur from Perm (Russia) tried to hand a bribe of 500 thousand rubles to a tax official, which was in a bag of lettuce leaves.
According to life.ru citing the press service of the Russian FSB Directorate for the Perm Region, the man was detained and faces up to 10 years in prison.
"An employee of a commercial organisation was detained while attempting to illegally transfer money to a representative of the tax authority", the statement said.
The agency added that the detainee wanted to bribe the tax official so that he would no longer be subject to inspections.
