At a government meeting, the Minister of Culture and Information Aida Balayeva reported on the results of citizens' participation in the environmental campaign "Taza Kazakhstan". According to her, around 4,000 members of public councils took part in the "Public Eco-Control" initiative. The focus of the campaign is on involving the public in environmental protection.

According to the press service of the government, as part of "Public Eco-Control", activists monitored sites of historical and cultural heritage and tourism, and also organised public oversight of improvement works and activities in the subsoil use sector.

Furthermore, more than 3,000 people joined the eco-challenge "10 Ecological Habits" on social media.

As part of the national "Clean Banks" initiative, since the start of the season alone, over 80 clean-up days and events have been organised to clean up polluted areas along water bodies in various regions of the country.

Particular attention in the campaign is given to engaging young people. It is reported that in April this year, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev presented letters of thanks to the most active participants in the environmental initiative.

As part of the seasonal employment programme in 2025, plans are in place to attract more than 35,000 young people, and from 2026, the government intends to expand the network of youth labour teams focusing on engineering, technical, agricultural, construction, and pedagogical fields.

Earlier, at an expanded board meeting of law enforcement agencies, the President emphasised the need to continue work on the "Taza Kazakhstan" concept, which is an integral part of the ideological platform for building an advanced society.
