Companies linked to the heirs of the late co-owner of Eurasian Resources Group (ERG) Alexander Mashkevich own property on Fisher Island in Miami worth approximately $14 million (over 7 billion tenge).
According to the Telegram channel "Access to the Sea", Fisher Island is called "the most expensive land" in the USA. The entry fee for potential property owners is $250,000, and the average annual income of local residents exceeds $2.5 million.
The island is a closed, guarded territory with its own school, hospital, tennis courts, golf club, and yacht marina. Access is only possible by water or private helicopter.
According to the Miami-Dade County administration, around 700 families from 40 countries live there, including famous figures such as Julia Roberts, Oprah Winfrey, and Russian billionaires Viktor Vekselberg and Aras Agalarov.
According to available information, Alexander Mashkevich's daughter Anna manages three companies on the island — Alm Florida Property Inc, Alm Florida Property II Inc, and Alm Florida Property III Inc. These companies belong to Mashkevich and his wife Larisa via a structure registered in Luxembourg.
They own two apartments on Fisher Island. One of them, with an area of approximately 630 m², was purchased by the Mashkevichs in 2008 from Polish businessman Ryszard Krauze for $3.5 million. Once one of Poland's richest men, Krauze invested in oil production in Kazakhstan but failed, and his structures owed Kazakh creditors more than 20 billion tenge.
Currently, the value of this property has nearly tripled to $9.5 million. The second apartment in the same building, with a smaller area, is valued at $3.5 million. The family also owns a small apartment near the yacht marina. Its area is just over 50 m², and its value is approximately $1 million.
Earlier, journalists discovered a unique asset in the property portfolio of the late Kazakh businessman Alexander Mashkevich — a villa in the south of France, once owned by African dictator Mobutu Sese Seko. The mansion, set on a 3.2-hectare plot and worth €120-150 million, is located in the picturesque commune of Roquebrune-Cap-Martin.
