An official representative of the Ministry of Energy, Shyngys Ilyasov, reported that unknown individuals have gained access to the personal messengers of the ministry's leadership.
According to zakon.kz, he assured that work to restore the messengers is already underway.
"Various malicious links, false information, requests, and so on may come through the hacked numbers. Please do not trust such messages and ignore them," said Ilyasov.
It is worth recalling that a fake video was previously circulating online, in which President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and the head of Kaspi.kz Mikhail Lomtadze allegedly talked about a new project that would allow Kazakhstanis to earn from 2 million tenge.
It was also reported that scammers are sending out messages to Kazakhstanis supposedly on behalf of government members, who are "asking" to borrow money until payday. Some citizens even received messages on behalf of Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov.
