Players of the football club «Kaysar» in Kyzylorda have not been paid their wages for several months. The sportsmen have decided to boycott the next match.
According to Informburo.kz, a few days ago, the footballers expressed their displeasure to the management and took to the pitch against FC «Shakhtar» from Karaganda 15 minutes late. The match ended with a score of 5:1 in favour of the Kyzylorda club.
"Our responsibilities are set out in the contract. That is, our job is to play football. Right now, we are fulfilling our obligations professionally. But the management itself cannot fulfil the terms of the agreement. We ask that the wage issue be resolved as soon as possible," said goalkeeper Stepan Sikach indignantly.
It is noted that «Kaysar» is funded by the state.
"The funds allocated for this season have been fully spent. The responsible partnership coordinates its own finances, income and expenses. Therefore, they provide us with accurate reports and proposals. Based on this, we will make decisions in accordance with the law," stated the acting head of the Department of Physical Culture of the Kyzylorda region, Zhuldyzkhan Yerkosayev.
The official promised that the regional club's problem would be resolved soon.
Recall that in January, it became known that the Kyzylorda football club «Kaysar» was planned to be transferred to trust management with a subsequent buyout over 5 years. The starting price of the lot at that time was 1.6 billion tenge. The initial payment was 252.9 million tenge.
In early October, former players and employees of the state enterprise «Football Club «Kaspiy» secured payment of wages from the enterprise through the court. The football club owed them millions of tenge.
In September, we wrote that the reputation of the president of the «Kazakhstan Football Federation» (KFF) Adilet Barmenkulov has long raised many questions. In addition to constant criticism from football fans regarding the organisation and transparency of matches held, Barmenkulov has repeatedly been involved in corruption scandals.
Continuing the theme, our editorial team wrote about how Barmenkulov managed to «realise himself» in the position of head of the KFF, and what people he brought in for the development of Kazakh football.
Later, it was reported that the Union of European Football Associations was unhappy that Adilet Barmenkulov had disclosed confidential information that was discussed at a UEFA meeting.
