A fictitious record in Damumed about drug addiction was discovered by a woman from Almaty.

A resident of Almaty discovered in the mobile app for medical services “Damumed” that a visit as a drug-dependent patient had been falsely assigned to her.

According to Informburo.kz, the woman installed the app to print a discharge summary from the maternity hospital and found a fake record of an appointment with a social worker, as well as a note about a psycho-correctional conversation.

To confirm that she was not registered with a narcologist or psychiatrist, she requested certificates through eGov. She then contacted lawyers and reported the incident to City Polyclinic No. 17

In response, the medical facility promised to look into the matter and provide information to the complainant.

As a reminder, fake appointments with doctors, notifications about test results, and other false entries in the “Damumed” app came to light back in 2020. At that time, many Kazakhstani residents found fictitious records of visits to clinics in the app; some were assigned non-existent children, while others were recorded as having undergone surgeries.

Furthermore, it was previously reported that the Social Health Insurance Fund (SHIF) discovered that a capital city polyclinic had “falsely registered” 16,000 citizens as its patients, 13,000 of whom were children. Individuals were assigned without their knowledge. Moreover, it turned out that the polyclinic had “provided” medical services to children who had died 5–10 years ago.
