In the Akmola region, police officers identified a case of driving a vehicle under the influence of drugs. The incident was made more serious by the fact that the driver was transporting minors, despite a previously imposed ban on driving.
HOW THE VIOLATION WAS DETECTED
According to Centralmedia24.kz citing the Police Department of the Akmola Region, the incident occurred on 4 January during a patrol. Officers stopped a Mazda on one of the main streets of Kosshy for a document check.
During the interaction with police, the driver avoided producing his driving licence. This behaviour aroused suspicion and became grounds for a further check.
WHAT POLICE ESTABLISHED
During the investigation, it emerged that the man was under the influence of a narcotic substance of plant origin. This fact was later confirmed by a medical examination.
Furthermore, police officers established that in January 2025 the driver had already been banned from driving for a similar offence. Despite this, he continued to get behind the wheel.
CRIMINAL CASE OPENED
In connection with this incident, law enforcement authorities opened a criminal case. The documents do not specify which articles of the legislation apply or what measures have been taken against the driver.
It is also not reported who exactly the minor children were to the driver or whether they were handed over to their legal guardians.
