The Akimat of the Kyzylyzhar district of the North Kazakhstan Region planned to purchase a car for 17.5 million tenge during the floods. However, following media publications, it appears to have decided to cancel the purchase.
The announcement was published on the government procurement website. The customer was the State Institution 'Kyzylyzhar District Department of Economy and Finance'.

The technical specification states that the Class 'C' passenger car was to be from no earlier than the 2023 model year, with an engine capacity of over 2000 cubic centimetres, automatic transmission, heated seats, heated door mirrors, and so on.
For context, the Kyzylyzhar district is one of the areas in the North Kazakhstan Region most affected by the floods. It is worth noting that due to the flooding, a natural state of emergency was declared there at the beginning of April.
