The prosecutor's office of the Urzhar district of the Abay region has cancelled public procurement competitions for the medium repair of streets in the villages of Urzhar, Makanchi and Kabanbai totalling 803 million tenge.
"The local executive body attempted to conduct public procurement without mandatory departmental expertise (in accordance with subparagraph 2) of paragraph 2 of Article 21 of the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan 'On Public Procurement')", the department's press service reports.
It is reported that the local executive body is currently working to bring the tender documentation into compliance with the requirements of the law.
