In Aktobe, a court has sentenced the deputy director, the chief accountant of the Chinese Tu-Ha Oil Technology Service Company LLP and three of their accomplices.

According to the Telegram channel "HALYQSTAN", between 2007 and 2021, the accused embezzled 6.1 billion tenge from the enterprise.

The defendants claimed that the funds were intended for illegal payments to officials of state bodies. However, the court regarded this testimony as an attempt to evade responsibility.

During the trial, the facts of theft and legalisation of stolen property were confirmed by financial documents, witness testimony and expert reports.

The investigation established that the defendants used the stolen money to purchase 16 apartments in various cities across the country, 8 land plots, 3 entertainment venues in Aktobe (including "Yurt Park" and the children's centre "Princess Sabina"), as well as 4 business-class cars.

In the end, Court No. 2 of Aktobe sentenced each of the five convicts to between 7 and 8 years in prison. One of the female defendants was taken into custody in the courtroom.
