A lawsuit has been filed with the specialised inter-district economic court of Astana seeking the compulsory liquidation of the charitable foundation «BizBirgemiz Qazaqstan», whose founder is Perizat Kairat, suspected of embezzling 1.7 billion tenge

«On 11 October 2021, the department of justice of the city of Astana registered the public association 'Biz Birgemiz Qazaqstan 2030', whose head was Kairat Perizat. On 14 February, a lawsuit was filed with the SIES (specialised inter-district economic court) of the city of Astana seeking to invalidate the state registration and forcibly liquidate the aforementioned association», reports the media citing the ministry of justice.

The basis for filing the lawsuit was a letter from the Agency for Financial Monitoring (AFM) requesting the initiation of proceedings to cancel the registration of the public association «Biz Birgemiz Qazaqstan 2030» due to violations committed during its creation.

Recall that in November last year, it became known that the AFM is conducting an investigation into the activist of the volunteer movement and founder of the public charitable foundation «BizBirgemiz Qazaqstan», Perizat Kairat. It was reported that she is suspected of embezzling 1.7 billion tenge.

In December, the court seized the suspect's elite property, cars, equipment, clothing, footwear, jewellery, as well as bags from global brands.

In February of this year, the deputy chairman of the AFM, Zhenis Elemesov, reported that 100 volumes of evidence had been collected in the case of Perizat Kairat. Furthermore, it was noted that her mother, Gaini Alashbayeva, is suspected of complicity in fraud and the legalisation of criminally obtained money. A criminal case has been opened against Alashbayeva.

Later, details emerged of a new pre-trial investigation into Perizat Kairat. It was reported that the latest episode is related to fraud in the collection of money for the construction of a rehabilitation centre for disabled children.
