The Anti-Corruption Service of Almaty has exposed the Deputy General Director of MCU «Almaty Su» for committing a serious corruption offence.
According to the press service of the Anti-Corruption Service, he received 75 million tenge from a local entrepreneur (out of an agreed 345 million tenge) for signing off on allegedly completed works and releasing funds under concluded public procurement contracts.
Meanwhile, the Anti-Corruption Service of the Kyzylorda Region detained the head of the regional department of entrepreneurship and industry on suspicion of receiving a bribe for general patronage and “signing a permit to extend the contract and increase the volume of subsoil extraction”.
By court order, a measure of restraint in the form of detention was imposed on the suspects.
