During discussions in the Majilis, deputy Yedil Zhanbyrshin criticised the preparedness of representatives from oil companies. He noted that companies continue to purchase goods from China, despite having contracts with Kazakhstani manufacturers.
CONTEXT
During the session, the procurement policies of oil companies were discussed. The General Director of Maten Petroleum JSC, Lyu Jincheng, stated that the organisation has six long-term contracts with Kazakhstani goods producers. However, he could not name the specific enterprises, and during his response, his deputy prompted him with the names of the companies.
WHY THE SITUATION DREW CRITICISM
The deputy emphasised that such matters require advance preparation. Zhanbyrshin also noted that information about the six contracts should be known to the company's management without prompting, especially during discussions at the state level.
