Builders of houses for flood victims are owed 400 million tenge

Contractors in Petropavlovsk who built houses for flood victims have not received final payment for the work completed. The total amount of debt is 400 million tenge.

According to ORDA, the head of LLP «Ash Stroy» Amirzhan Shakei said that his company, like 13 other contractors, is still awaiting payment. It is noted that «Ash Stroy» has only received 25% of the total contract amount, with the remaining debt amounting to 88.5 million tenge.

«When the akimat asked us to urgently start construction, we all did our best to help: many took out loans, borrowed money, and persuaded finishers and workers to wait for payment. We all understood that people were in trouble», said Shakei.

The corporate fund «Qyzyljar Asar», which distributes sponsorship funds from «KAZ Minerals Bozshakol», explains the delay in payments by the absence of electronic invoices (E-sf) for 10 contractors. However, the construction department claims that the necessary documents were submitted well before the start of 2025.

Contractors have now been ordered to provide the missing electronic invoices within 24 hours. In turn, the «Qyzyljar Asar» fund promises to settle the debt within a week of receiving the documents. The situation has been taken under control by the North Kazakhstan Region Council for the Protection of Entrepreneurs' Rights.
