The personal data database of clients of Microfinance Organisation "Unicredit" LLP (brand GMoney) has been leaked publicly. Among the borrowers is Alpamys Baizakov — the husband of the daughter of the late Bolat Nazarbayev. According to available information, Baizakov's overdue debt on a microloan amounts to nearly 1.5 million tenge.
According to the Telegram channel "Access to the Sea", the leak contains data on approximately 20,000 clients, however the MFO's website states that the total number of clients exceeds 100,000. Based on the contents of the file, the database is current as of the beginning of 2025.
The leaked data includes:
- surname, first name, and patronymic;
- full date of birth;
- identification card number and date of issue;
- IIN;
- phone number;
- E-mail;
- address of registration and residence (if different);
- place of work and position;
- marital status;
- whether they have children and number of children;
- account number at the MFO;
- account balance (debt as of the current date);
- data on the loan guarantor (full name and contacts) and their relationship to the borrower.
As it has become known, GMoney is a relatively small MFO specialising in short-term loans of up to 180,000 tenge for a period of up to 25 days. The rate is 1.4% per day, equivalent to around 30% monthly yield. At the end of last year, its loan portfolio amounted to around 1.5 billion tenge, placing it 38th out of 200 registered MFOs in Kazakhstan by volume of operations.
The owners of GMoney are businessmen Zhasulan Abdrasulov and Yuri Kan. The latter is also a co-founder of another MFO — Basel Credits.
"His partner (Yuri Kan's - editor's note from FBRC) is Shara Abdrasulova, the wife of the chairman of the board of LLP 'KazRosGaz', a joint venture between 'KazMunayGas' and Russia's 'Gazprom', Nurlan Abdrasulov, the younger brother of GMoney co-owner Zhasulan Abdrasulov," the statement reads.
Also, according to the data that has been leaked publicly, Alpamys Baizakov — the husband of Gulnara Baizakova (daughter of Bolat Nazarbayev) — took out a loan of 25,000 tenge from GMoney, however by the end of the year the overdue debt amounted to nearly 1.5 million tenge. It is noted that, despite a 16-year age difference, the couple married in September 2021, and in 2022 they had a child.
Baizakov previously worked for the Almaty police, and is also listed as the founder and director of several companies operating in Kazakhstan. The reasons for applying for the microloan remain unclear.
