In the village of Belkopa, Aiteke bi district of the Aktobe region, a nine-year-old boy died after falling into a pit of meltwater.
According to press.kz, the local education department reported that the boy was playing with three of his classmates about 100 metres from the village.
At some point, the child fell into a pit where water had accumulated and drowned. It is reported that his body was retrieved from the water and taken to the village outpatient clinic. The police are investigating the incident.
Earlier, in the settlement of Yebeyty, Baiganin district of the Aktobe region, a four-year-old child fell into meltwater, choked, and died.
