Residents of Almaty have reported poor-quality road repairs on Nurgisa Tlendiyev Street in the section between Zhandosov and Satpayev streets. According to them, the contractor laid the asphalt with technological violations — unevenly and without proper base preparation.
According to the Telegram channel «ZTB NEWS», residents claim that the work was carried out as a formality, without proper oversight from the city administration.
After numerous complaints, the repair work was suspended, but local residents see this only as confirmation of negligence and possible collusion.
They have demanded an investigation, accountability for the contracting organisation and officials, and that the repairs be redone — in compliance with building standards and with transparent reporting.
For context, earlier the prosecutor's office of the Syrym District of the West Kazakhstan Region identified violations in road construction committed by the former head of the housing and communal services (HCS), passenger transport and highways department. The damage to the state exceeded 56 million tenge.
