The Prosecutor's Office of the Ereymentau District found that the local akimat unlawfully approved a plan to purchase five water distribution points for 75 million tenge

According to the press service of the Prosecutor's Office of the Akmola Region, the purchase was planned unlawfully "from a single source", meaning without competitors, by directly concluding a contract.

At the same time, a monitoring of online listings showed that the average price for this product is 9.3 million tenge, which is 5 million tenge cheaper (total savings - 29 million tenge).

As a result, the purchase was cancelled, and the official was held accountable.

Recall that earlier it was reported that Pavlodar Airport tried to buy vehicles at an inflated price. The organisation planned to purchase two trucks for 64.4 million tenge, a sewage disposal truck for 46.4 million tenge and a dump truck for 31 million tenge

However, the cost of this type of special equipment turned out to be much lower than stated. For example, the price of sewage disposal trucks on the market averages 21 million tenge, and the approximate price of a dump truck is 25 million tenge. After the intervention of Anticor volunteers, the purchase was cancelled.
