The Financial Monitoring Agency (FMA) has found ways to reduce the cost of 61 major infrastructure projects during their planning stage.
"As a result of joint work with regional akimats, the design and estimate documentation has been adjusted, saving 65 billion tenge of budget funds. Another 12 projects worth 11 billion tenge are under review," the FMA press service reported.
In Astana, excessive state spending of 5.3 billion tenge was prevented during the design of the construction of a main sewer collector. As a result, at the design stage, the construction cost was reduced from 26.4 to 21 billion tenge.
In Aktobe, more than 3 billion tenge was saved from the budget at the design stage of the project "Construction of electricity supply networks in the residential area 'Parasat'."
Recall that earlier, Anti-Corruption volunteers prevented the irrational use of more than 7 billion tenge in budget funds.
At the same time, it was reported that, based on the results of monitoring state procurement from the beginning of the year to April, the Anti-Corruption agency prevented inefficient spending of budget funds amounting to 12.4 billion tenge. The most common findings were inflated prices for fuels and lubricants (23%), stationery (19%), food products (6%), and premises rental (6%).
