Akim of the Mangystau region Nurdaulet Kilybai stated at a staff meeting that large companies and enterprises with foreign participation must contribute to improving the welfare of the population.
According to Informburo.kz, the akim reported that 208 subsoil user companies are operating in the region. 152 of them are engaged in the extraction of mineral resources, and 56 in oil extraction.
As reported by the head of the Department of Economy and Budget Planning, Marina Albekova, only two oil companies have a production sharing agreement. 24 companies transfer 1% of their product to the budget.
"We do not hinder the development and prosperity of these 56 enterprises in the region. But since we operate in this region, we must distribute our income among the people. It is impossible to fit everything into a single budget. Residents lack many things. Therefore, large companies and enterprises with foreign participation must contribute to improving the welfare of the population in accordance with their source of income. For our part, we will provide administrative assistance", Kilybai concluded.
