The capital’s Nursultan Nazarbayev International Airport JSC has published a lot on the public procurement portal for the purchase of one fire engine for 738,105,838 tenge

The technical specification states that the vehicle must be no older than 2023. The preliminary acceptance of applications for participation in the tender will run from 19 April to 4 May.

Earlier, it was reported that the airport in Pavlodar had attempted to purchase vehicles at inflated prices. The organisation planned to buy two lorries for 64.4 million tenge, a cesspit emptier for 46.4 million tenge, and a dump truck for 31 million tenge

However, the cost of such specialist equipment turned out to be much lower than stated. For example, the average market price for cesspit emptiers is 21 million tenge, while the approximate price of a dump truck is 25 million tenge. After the intervention of Anti-Corruption volunteers, the procurement was cancelled.
