The Department of the Agency for Protection and Development of Competition (APDC) for the Zhetysu region identified violations of antimonopoly legislation in the actions of three subsidiary organisations of the International Centre for Border Cooperation (ICBC) "Khorgos" - LLP "Khorgos-Commerce", LLP "Khorgos-Energy" and LLP "Khorgos-Service".
According to the press service of the department, following a court decision, the aforementioned companies ceased operations in their previous form.
The antimonopoly authority proposed privatising the partnerships and transferring them to a competitive environment, which will allow them to continue operating under market conditions.
It may be recalled that previously the APDC Department for Astana identified instances of monopolistically high prices being set by the subsidiary organisation of JSC "NC "Kazakhstan Temir Zholy" (KTZ) - JSC "KTZ EXPRESS". As a result, the specialised inter-district court for administrative offences imposed a fine on JSC "KTZ EXPRESS" in the amount of 853,379 tenge along with the confiscation of monopoly revenue in the amount of 10,114,304 tenge.
