5.8 million stolen by an accountant from the education department in the Akmola region

In the Akmola Region, an accountant from the Education Department of the Tselinograd District has been convicted of embezzling budget funds.
 
According to the press service of the Akmola Region Prosecutor's Office, the defendant embezzled 5.8 million tenge.

"The institution's accountant, using her official position, forged documents and concealed the fact that funds were unjustifiably transferred to her accounts", the statement says.

The court found her guilty and sentenced her to 3 years of restricted freedom with probation supervision. It was reported that the damage to the state was compensated.

Recall that in January it was reported that Antikor Almaty, together with the Almaty branch of the public association "Adildik Zholy", identified financial violations at Secondary School No. 141. The accountant of that school is suspected of embezzling budget funds from 2019 to 2023, causing damage to the state in the amount of 57,773,400 tenge.

In February it became known that Antikor of the Almaty Region is conducting a pre-trial investigation against the head of the State Institution "Education Department of the Ili District, Almaty Region"

She is suspected of embezzling 680 million tenge. The investigation believes that she paid wages to fictitious employees who supposedly worked in secondary schools in the Ili District.
