The Inter-district Criminal Court of Astana has pronounced a sentence against the General Director of the LLP "Paramilitary Railway Guard" B. Nakhanov, his deputy A. Mukatayeva and manager R. Sidikov.
According to the press service of the Anti-Corruption Agency, they were found guilty of embezzling 159.4 million tenge allocated for the purchase of video surveillance equipment.
In addition, Nakhanov was convicted of abuse of official powers. It is reported that he formally employed a person as a driver for the paramilitary railway guard.
As a result, the court sentenced Nakhanov to 8 years in prison. Mukatayeva and Sidikov were sentenced to 7 years in prison.
At the same time, they were permanently barred from holding positions in the civil service.
