In a private kindergarten "RozAl Centre" in Taraz, approximately 12 million tenge allocated from the state budget for the financing of the pre-school organisation was stolen.

According to the press service of the Zhambyl Regional Prosecutor's Office, the head of the kindergarten received budget funds for children who did not actually attend the institution.

"A criminal case has been registered on the fact of fraud by the city prosecutor's office, the investigation of which has been assigned to the Department of Economic Investigation of the Zhambyl Region", the statement said.

As a result, Court No.2 of Taraz found the head of the kindergarten guilty and sentenced her to 4 years of imprisonment with a ban for 3 years from holding financially responsible positions related to finances in organisations and institutions providing education or training services.

It is reported that the court sentence has not yet entered into legal force.

Recall that earlier it became known that in Astana, heads of kindergartens, a director of an LLP and a kindergarten employee stole more than 35 million tenge.

Furthermore, it was reported that kindergartens in the Akkayyn and Taiynsha districts of the North Kazakhstan Region paid for services for children who were actually absent without valid reasons, resulting in an unjustified payment of 17 million tenge from the budget.
