The head of the Kostanay region Kumar Aksakalov stated that 11 billion tenge have been allocated for the improvement and landscaping of the region this year.
According to "Nasha Gazeta (Kostanay)", 4.2 billion tenge of this amount will be directed towards replacing lighting fixtures. It is reported that the region will see 10,000 new lamps and 3,600 new poles.
Furthermore, it has become known that an inspection of dilapidated houses was carried out across the entire region, resulting in the identification of 500 buildings slated for demolition.
At the same time, the authorities have ordered the planting of 130,000 tree saplings.
"The akim of the region insists on strict monitoring of survival rates. According to him, contractors need to be held responsible for every tree planted", the statement reads.
