The Water Management Committee of the Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation of the Republic of Kazakhstan is conducting monitoring of projects for the reconstruction of the Nura Group Water Pipeline.
In early August, representatives of the department inspected emergency sections in the Egindykol and Korgalzhyn districts.
As reported by the ministry, in the Akmola region the laying of 68.7 km of the emergency section of the group water pipeline has been completed.
In the near future, the villages of Uzynkol, Burevestnik, Poltavskoye and Egindykol will be connected to the water pipeline.
It is reported that the villages of Zhanteke and Toganas have already been connected to the new water pipeline.
The next step should be the start of work on the section from the village of Uzynkol to the village of Egindykol.
In total, this year they promise to implement 30 projects for the construction and reconstruction of group water pipelines, which will improve drinking water supply for 1.4 million people.
Recall that at the end of June this year, the chairman of the Water Management Committee, Arsen Zhakanbayev, together with the deputy akim of the Akmola region, Yeldos Ramazanov, addressed the residents of Egindykol, who have been living without drinking water for two years.
At that time, the deputy akim promised local residents that the water would be available on 1 August.
"Here sits the chairman of the Water Resources Committee, a civil servant, who says – I personally, individually vouch for this water, on 1 August, God willing, it will be there. Here sits the contractor, who says – we will provide water by 1 August. I understand your emotions. I understand that it's been two years. I understand who is responsible,", said Yeldos Ramazanov.
Incidentally, the water supply in the Egindykol district centre has not yet been restored.
Recall that in 2020-2021, reconstruction was already carried out on emergency sections of the group water pipeline in the Egindykol and Korgalzhyn districts. The total cost of the project at that time was 503.2 million tenge.
