The Prosecutor's Office of the Nura District of the Karaganda Region has returned an unused agricultural plot of 2,391 hectares to state ownership.

According to the press service of the agency, the land was leased to a farming enterprise for a period of 20 years based on a decree from the district mayor and an agreement with the district land relations department. However, since 2012, the plot has not been used for its intended purpose.

Prosecutors identified that the cadastral value of the unused land is 4.78 billion tenge

As a result of the measures taken, the plot was returned to state ownership for provision to other land users.

It should be recalled that earlier, the Almaty Regional Court declared transactions invalid for three land plots located on the northern coast of the Kapshagai Reservoir and ordered their return to state ownership.

The court established that from 2004 to 2016, all plots were sequentially transferred between companies affiliated with Askar Kulibayev, including his son Beksultan Kulibayev and daughter-in-law Nailya Kulibayeva.
