Kazakhstanis complain about dirty carriages

JSC «Passenger Transportation», a subsidiary of JSC «NC «Kazakhstan Temir Zholy», has inspected trains of the company's northern branch.

According to Bes.media, an internal investigation was launched due to passenger complaints about dirty carriages and untimely cleaning. 

The inspection revealed that the cleaning company had provided poor-quality services on trains operating in Pavlodar, Astana, Karaganda, Petropavlovsk, Kokshetau, Kostanay and other directions. Among other things, the audit also established the fact of document forgery.

«Inspectors identified poor cleaning quality, a lack of quality control, insufficient staff qualifications, as well as falsification of documents», the statement reads.

As a result, the cleaning company was fined. It is reported that if the violations are not rectified, the contract with the company will be terminated.

In addition, the director, deputy director for service maintenance, and the instructor for production and technical training of the regional branch «Northern» of JSC «Passenger Transportation» have been reprimanded. 

At the same time, the company will review the suitability of the position held by the head of the regional branch's section.
