Another preventative patrol took place at the city's Triathlon Park in Astana, during which staff from the akimat and the police checked that the area was kept clean and orderly. The patrol was organised under the "Law and Order" principle and the "Taza Kazakhstan" campaign and is aimed at preventing offences in the park.
HOW THE PATROL WAS CONDUCTED
Staff from the akimat and law enforcement agencies carried out explanatory work with residents and visitors to the city who were in the park. The specialists drew visitors' attention to the need to follow the rules of behaviour in public places: clearing away rubbish after relaxing, preventing the area from becoming littered, and the ban on lighting fires in unauthorised places.

"As part of the 'Taza Kazakhstan' campaign, preventative patrols are held weekly in the parks of Almaty district. In particular, the 'Zheruyik' and Triathlon parks are the largest and most visited recreational areas in our district. Here, residents often relax outdoors, have picnics and in some cases break the established rules by leaving rubbish behind. In order to prevent such actions, we regularly carry out preventative patrols and explanatory work with the public," noted the chief specialist of the internal policy department of the Almaty district akimat, Altynay Musayeva.
POLICE MONITORING
Local police inspectors monitored compliance with public order and cleanliness requirements during the patrol.
"On my assigned administrative beat, we carry out preventative patrols every day. The main goal is to instil in residents a culture of keeping things clean, to ensure public order and to prevent environmental pollution. In parks and recreational areas, we pay particular attention to ensuring that citizens do not throw rubbish in unauthorised places, do not harm natural zones, and do not light fires where this is prohibited. Every resident must contribute to the cleanliness of the city and to public order. Since the start of the year, under Article 505 of the Administrative Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan ('Violation of rules for the improvement of territories of cities and settlements, as well as destruction of infrastructure facilities, destruction and damage to green spaces of the city and settlements' - editor's note, FBKK), 2,691 offenders have been brought to administrative responsibility, and under Article 434-2 of the Administrative Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan ('Littering of public places' - editor's note, FBKK), more than 30 offenders," reported senior inspector Nuraly Tanirbergenov, responsible for organising the work of police station No. 4 of the Almaty district police department in Astana.
