Волчьи органы в качестве «амулетов» продают в Алматы

In Almaty, via social networks, dried female wolf reproductive organs are being offered for sale at prices of up to 100,000 tenge. The seller attributes protective and "magical" properties to the product, including the ability to help with infertility and bring good luck.

WHAT IS KNOWN

The seller offers dried and salted female wolf organs, claiming they can be used as an amulet. According to him, such an item supposedly helps businessmen and drivers, "opens the way" and protects against misfortune.

The seller claims that for this, the organ must be carried on one's person and not shown to others. A small pouch is offered with the product. It is also specifically noted that an "effective" specimen must be undamaged — one that has not been bitten or scratched.

In the same seller's listings, claws and fangs of wolves and bears can also be found. They too are offered as souvenirs and peculiar amulets.

HOW MUCH THE PRODUCT COSTS

The price of a single specimen can reach 100,000 tenge. According to the seller, he acquires the organs from hunters, and is currently receiving female wolves from Russia.

He also stated that among the harvested animals there are both young and adult female wolves.

The seller is based in Almaty and states that delivery of the products is possible across Kazakhstan, as well as to Turkey, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan.

HOW THE HUNTING OF WILD ANIMALS IS REGULATED

In Kazakhstan, the hunting of wild animals is regulated by the state through established limits and quotas. These determine the permissible volume of removal of animals in specific regions.

Wolves are among the animals whose numbers are regulated by the state. Their removal is carried out in accordance with the established procedure and requires the appropriate permit.

For Akmola, West Kazakhstan, Karaganda, Kostanay, Mangystau, Pavlodar regions and the Ulytau region, additional restrictions apply: permits for the removal of wolves are issued only when there are confirmed facts of attacks on livestock. Almaty is not included in this list.

At the same time, the absence of Almaty from the list of additional restrictions does not mean that wolves can be hunted there without a permit. The legality of the origin of a specific product and the availability of the necessary documents cannot be determined from the listing. When buying, transporting or sending such products, one should exercise caution and check the documents. Furthermore, one should not unconditionally trust claims about the "magical" and medicinal properties of such items.
