Tax revenues to local budgets in Kazakhstan as of 1 June 2026 amounted to 3.7 trillion tenge. Compared to the same date in 2025, their volume decreased by 25.6 billion tenge, with revenue growth recorded in 10 out of 20 regions, and a decline noted in the remaining regions.
WHAT INDICATORS WERE RECORDED
According to EconomyKZ.org citing the Ministry of Finance, the volume of tax revenues to local budgets as of 1 June 2026 reached 3.7 trillion tenge. Compared to the same period last year, the figure fell by 25.6 billion tenge.

At the same time, regional dynamics proved uneven: an increase in revenues was recorded in 10 regions, while another 10 regions ended the reporting period with a decline.
WHICH REGIONS BECAME GROWTH LEADERS
The highest rates of tax revenue growth were recorded in:
- Akmola Region — +17.7% (+15.9 billion tenge);
- Almaty Region — +16.9% (+40.5 billion tenge);
- Pavlodar Region — +13.6% (+23.6 billion tenge);
- Astana city — +6.0% (+31.0 billion tenge);
- Abai Region — +6.0% (+3.5 billion tenge).
Growth was also noted in Zhetysu Region, North Kazakhstan Region, Zhambyl Region, and Kostanay Region, as well as in the city of Shymkent.
WHERE WAS THE DECLINE RECORDED
The largest decrease in tax revenues was recorded in:
- Atyrau Region: −13.0% (−47.7 billion tenge);
- Mangystau Region: −12.0% (−16.6 billion tenge);
- West Kazakhstan Region: −10.4% (−10.5 billion tenge);
- Karaganda Region: −8.3% (−15.2 billion tenge);
- Almaty city: −5.5% (−51.7 billion tenge).
A decline was also registered in Aktobe Region, Turkistan Region, Ulytau Region, East Kazakhstan Region, and Kyzylorda Region.
