In the Aktobe region, police officers have stopped the activities of a group of individuals suspected of illegally acting as intermediaries in processing documents for foreign nationals. The operation took place in a building housing the Public Service Centre (PSC), but the arrests were made outside its departments.
HOW THE SCHEME WORKED
According to the Aktobe Regional Police Department (PD), officers from the Organised Crime Control Department (OCCD) stopped the activities of a circle of individuals engaged in illegal intermediary services during operational measures.
It is reported that the suspects operated from several rented offices and, for a monetary reward, provided services in the field of registering foreign nationals.
As clarified, fictitious data was used to process documents, and the services themselves were provided to citizens arriving from Central Asian countries.
COURSE OF THE INVESTIGATION
A criminal case has been initiated on this matter on grounds of the production, forgery, and sale of forged documents.
Operational and investigative measures aimed at documenting the activities of the suspects are currently ongoing. No information has been provided regarding the procedural status of the individuals involved or the preventive measures chosen.
POLICE APPEAL
The police reminded that turning to intermediaries and using forged documents entails legal liability, and called on citizens to only process documents through official channels.
