The Prosecutor's Office of the Atyrau Region has summarised the results of its work to ensure legality in the sphere of enforcement proceedings for the current period of 2026. As a result of the measures taken, 137.8 million tenge was recovered for the state revenue.
WHAT RESULTS HAVE BEEN ACHIEVED
According to the Prosecutor's Office of the Atyrau Region, since the beginning of 2026, 29 representations have been submitted in the sphere of enforcement proceedings to eliminate violations of legality. Following their review, 137.8 million tenge was recovered for the state revenue.
In addition, repayment of arrears on alimony in the amount of 124 million tenge and arrears on wages in the amount of 842 thousand tenge was ensured.
WHAT MEASURES WERE TAKEN AGAINST OFFENDERS
35 bailiffs were brought to disciplinary responsibility, and 68 debtors were brought to administrative responsibility.
Regarding the facts of failure to fulfil obligations to pay funds for child maintenance, 18 pre-trial investigations were registered under Article 139 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan ("Failure to fulfil obligations to pay funds for child maintenance"). To date, 6 debtors have been held criminally liable.
EXAMPLE OF A COURT DECISION
One example was the decision of the Specialised Inter-District Court for Minors of the Atyrau Region of 19 May 2026. The court found citizen K. guilty, who had an alimony debt in the amount of 7 million tenge and had not fulfilled the obligations to support his minor children for more than 2 years.
He was sentenced to 1 year of restriction of liberty.
THE WORK OF THE PROSECUTOR'S OFFICE CONTINUES
The Prosecutor's Office reported that work to ensure compliance with legislation in the sphere of enforcement proceedings is carried out on an ongoing basis. The materials also note that this area remains under the constant supervision of the regional prosecutor's office.
