President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has spoken out about criticism of the state's legal policy and stated that the country will continue to adhere to the course of "Law and Order". The head of state also commented on the use of the terms "Fines-stan" and "Penalty-stan" in reference to Kazakhstan.

"Some individuals who dislike and hold our country in contempt — and among them, unfortunately, are members of Parliament. They call our legal actions 'Fines-stan' or 'Penalty-stan'," said the Head of State.
The President noted that such assessments demonstrate the limited judgement of their authors.
HOW TOKAYEV EXPLAINED THE "LAW AND ORDER" POLICY
The head of state emphasised that respect for Law and Order is not linked to fear of punishment. According to the President, this is a trait of citizens with a high level of responsibility.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev stated that the "Law and Order" policy remains unchanged, as society needs public order and security.

In his speech, the President stressed that continuing the course of compliance with the law aligns with the demands of citizens. He also called on akims and society to pay the closest attention to this issue.
Thus, the Head of State confirmed that Kazakhstan is maintaining its current approach in the sphere of ensuring law and order and public safety.
